The company has a substantial manufacturing facility based in Kidderminster.
Description
- Managing materials
(stocks, quality, performance, legislation) to meet strict design
requirements.
- Supporting, monitoring and improving
associated manufacturing processes.
- Qualifying materials
in accordance with recognised defence and internal standards.
- Investigating and resolving material and related
manufacturing problems.
- Monitoring for material
obsolescence and qualifying the replacements.
- Clearance
of ingredients and finished materials for manufacturing.
- Technically supporting production on a day to day basis -
compiling methods and documents to ensure compliance with configured
standards.
Profile
A
successful Materials Engineer should have:
* A degree in Materials
Science, Materials Engineering, or a related field
* A good
understanding of materials and their properties
* Strong
problem-solving skills
* The ability to work well in a team

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*
Proficiency in using engineering software
