Materials Planning Manager

Join the team at a well-established manufacturing company in Leicester as a Materials Planning Manager. You'll oversee material flow throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery for all plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive engagement within the Planning function to prioritize safety and focus on delivering the site's strategy.
• Efficiently manage the daily workloads of Planners, communicating actions to stakeholders to meet KPIs.
• Develop cost-effective plans for materials and packaging across the business.
• Cultivate relationships with suppliers, addressing non-conformances promptly with technical teams.
• Collaborate closely with Intake and Despatch teams to optimize on-site utilization while monitoring stock levels and customer service.
• Establish and report on KPIs for departmental monitoring and improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience in the chilled food industry.
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong leadership skills in fast-paced environments.
• Background in material or packaging planning.
• Ability to manage relationships with multiple suppliers effectively.
• Experience with Power BI preferred; Excel proficiency beneficial.
