Electrical/Mechanical Packaging Design Engineer

BRIEF OVERVIEW
- Role : Electrical/Mechanical Packaging Design Engineer
- Location : Milton Keynes
- Role type : Contract - Inside IR35
- Contract length : 12-months + possible extensions
- Rate : £Negotiable DOE
- Working Type : Hybrid (4 days on site, 1 day WFH)

Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical/Mechanical Packaging Design Engineer to work with an innovative advanced engineering business, which is pioneering some of the most groundbreaking projects in the world.

Many of the projects are focused on high-performance vehicles such as aeronautical, hypercars and motorsport, as well as advanced technology like hydrogen fuel cells. The projects are working on all things land, air and sea.

You'll have the opportunity to work on complex projects, alongside a group of some of the best engineers in the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design of enclosures, brackets, housing, trunking, etc
- Thermal mechanical development (such as cooling calculations)
- Packaging of battery housing, cold plates, busbars, PCB mounting, etc
- AV mounting development

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Automotive, motorsport, aerospace, marine, or similar experience
- CAD design (NX preferable, CATIA and others are considered)
- Good understanding of various packaging elements
- Good understanding of materials/products used
