Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

Role Purpose

Currently, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter due to continued growth. In this role, you will be working with a larger team of mechanical and electrical engineers across various client sites in the Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water region.

The Role

Contracted to 40hrs per week on site hours, Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid.

You will be paid your travel time door to door, on top of your contracted and overtime hours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the health and safety of yourself and others under your control
  • Minimizing impact on and protection of the environment
  • Interpreting site drawings and project information
  • Liaising with other contractors
  • Reporting all accidents, incidents, and near misses
  • Respecting the environment and implementing control measures
  • Implementing measures to prevent waste production
  • Ensuring all waste is handled in line with legislation
  • Occasional lodging away on a regular basis
  • Full UK Driving license & own transport


Requirements
  • Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter within an industrial or construction environment
  • Industrial installation experience
  • Appropriate trade qualification
  • CSCS Card or similar (essential)
  • Completer Finisher
  • Good understanding of mechanical drawings
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Full UK Driving license (essential)

Desirable:

  • Water industry experience
  • EUSR water hygiene
  • Thames water passport
  • Mechanical Mates stepping up to Fitter role (must have relevant qualifications/certifications)
