Mechanical Fitter - FMCG
4 on 4 off shift (days and nights - 12 hours)
Overview
This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter or mechanically focused engineer to join a growing company. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be joining an experienced a stable team in a challenging, yet supportive environment. The role will be varied on a daily basis with a focus on ensuring machine availability and minimising downtime.
Responsibilities for the Mechanical Fitter
- Proactive maintenance and site PMs
- Reactive maintenance and responding to breakdowns quickly
- Working across mechanical faults and maintenance
- Ensuring production lines are operational and minimising downtime.
- Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes machine output
- Adhering to site Health & safety rules and legislation on site
Requirements for the Mechanical Fitter
- Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
- Experience working in a maintenance engineer role previously, ideally in a similar industry
- Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment.
