This well-established company is a leading independent metal printer in the UK serving the metal packaging industry including major international customers and brands. Much of this sector is witnessing significant growth as a result of a desire to switch packaging into more recyclable formats. The Challenge

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and based within the Operations team at the Swansea site, you will work closely with all areas of operations and engineering, as well as assisting with the design and implementation of projects, and helping the team to achieve agreed targets.

Working to safely maintain and improve the performance of production facilities, equipment and services, economically, by delivering maintenance excellence through planned preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, continuous improvement activity.

Working collaboratively within a team of Engineering Personnel and Production Teams in a professional and efficient manner.

Promoting the health, safety and wellbeing of employees whilst ensuring exemplary quality, customer service and compliance standards.

The Candidate

The candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge of mechanical engineering and basic electrical , as well as manufacturing processes. Ability to work effectively as part of a small team or on own initiative.

A high level of interpersonal skills is required to operate at all levels of the organisation.

Experience in metal printing processes would be advantageous.

The jobholder will be a time-served apprentice, with relevant engineering qualifications.

Basic understanding of PLC systems.

Please note that this role has a three shift pattern; mornings, afternoons and nights- and must be flexible to change.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 39,208.00 per year
