Mechanical Technical Manager – Main Contractor – London

I am currently working with a Tier 1, Main Contractor in London, who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Technical Manager to manage and assist with the delivery of a variety of projects across sectors including Commercial, Healthcare, Pharma and Labs.

Technical Managers are a valuable part of my clients business, and your role will encompass both work winning and the delivery of live projects whilst providing strong functional leadership and design resource on projects.

As a Technical Manager, duties will include:

  • Being accountable for Technical performance of allocated bids & Projects
  • Responsible for the management of MEP & BIM design on allocated projects
  • Accountability for technical assessment, coaching and development of Preconstruction Leaders, Design Project Managers & Project Managers & Engineers
  • Managing design risk & opportunities with a robust and transparent approach

To be successful in the role you will be from a building services design background, be an adept communicator with a customer focus and strong business acumen and ideally a Chartered Engineer (MCIBSE/MIET). You will be able to demonstrate leadership and have a strategic focus with the ability to influence. You will be successful at identifying and setting priorities, and then plan and effectively allocate appropriate resources. Attend to detail so that relevant issues are addressed and result in high-quality outcomes are key.
