To provide a credit control and billing service to support clinics in the partnership with invoicing and collection of private patient fees.
Job ContextThe Dermatology Partnership was formed in 2018 with 3 clinics and over the last 5 years has grown to 9 clinics, each have a small administrative team supported by a central finance team based in Kirtlington. Our plan is to continue to grow by opening and acquiring further clinics.
Due to recent growth and planned expansion, we are now looking to strengthen the central finance team, assisting with the submission and collection of invoices.
Role responsibilities- Chasing up of overdue invoices from both insured and self-funding patients, via telephone, e-mail and various portals. Maintain notes on the Practice Management Systems
- Electronic submission of Invoices to Private Medical Insurers via Healthcode or other online systems
- Enter BACS receipts onto the Practice Management Systems. Chase up missing remittance details.
- Follow up and resolve invoice queries, liaising with clinic staff where required.
- Help to identify trends in invoice errors and bad debt reasons, and suggest solutions and process improvements
- Ad hoc tasks where required
- Experience of working within credit control
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Numeracy skills, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (filters and pivots). Familiarity with data entry.
- Comfortable using IT systems and online portals.
- Confident and polite telephone manner, excellent customer service skills, both on the phone and in written communications
- Able to follow up and resolve invoice queries.
- Attention to detail.
- Organisation skills
- Experience of billing would be an advantage however more important to us is somebody with who can demonstrate the personal qualities described above.
