Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Membership Development Manager to join the Membership team at The Birley Cubs.


The Birley Clubs operate some of the world’s most iconic private members’ clubs; Annabel’s, Mark’s Club, George, Harry’s Bar and Bath & Racquets Club.

As Membership Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in expanding and enriching our membership base, fostering strong relationships with existing members, and ensuring the continued growth and success of our exclusive clubs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Frequent presence within the clubs.
  • Work with events team (ideas and introductions) and support to ensure a wide range members attend the Club’s events
  • Maintain a positive attitude to ensure the team are motivated and aligned with business expectations.
  • Regular reporting to Directors and senior team on progress, success and challenges
  • Actively brainstorm and implement (with the support of Directors) new actions to drive The Birley Clubs business
  • Ensure membership development tasks are dealt with timely, and reporting is updated efficiently.
  • Work with other departments to ensure a wide range of members attend the Clubs events.
  • Keep in regular communication with members and also staff in the Club ensuring member satisfaction
  • Provide regular feedback and ensure follow ups are actioned
  • Manage Memberships committee ensuring objectives are monitored
  • Support Director and senior managers develop and execute strategic plans for The Birley Clubs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred, but not essential
  • Proven experience in membership development, luxury brand management, or a similar role within the hospitality industry preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong network and experience dealing with high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients.
  • Results-driven with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of the luxury lifestyle and private club industry
