Who?

Our client assists water companies across the UK to collect data on non-domestic properties to enable accurate billing.

Why?

Due to a period of ongoing expansion, they are now seeking self-motivated Meter Investigators across the UK.

Full training will be given so previous experience is not essential.

What does a Meter Investigator do?

• Basically, you will be responsible for locating and inspecting ‘lost’ water meters which are housed in meter chambers or within specific enclosures or buildings.
• You will be required to accurately find, clean and photograph commercial water meters details within a geographical region using mobile technologies.
• Additionally, there is a requirement to efficiently research, plan and execute daily workloads to meet business demands.

Ideal candidate

• You will have a good awareness of Health & Safety- both for yourself and the public.
• Access to a reliable home internet system and good IT skills.
• As the face of the company, you will be smart, professional and courteous.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience of time management and route planning would be an advantage.

Anything else?

• You will require a full and valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.

• Use of a suitable vehicle with business insurance and a current MOT
• Part of your role will involve lifting heavy manhole covers so you will need a level of physical fitness…and you won’t mind getting dirty!
