Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Metrology Engineer in Derby at AddQual. As a Metrology Engineer, you will be responsible for performing and managing the measurement and analysis of components and assemblies, ensuring that they meet specifications. You will work on projects across various industries, including aerospace, power, and medical. Hence, you will be accountable for designing measurement systems, analyzing data, and developing measurement processes to improve measurement accuracy and efficiency.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in metrology, engineering, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in metrology or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of measurement techniques and Optical (GOM) measurement systems and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
  • Experience using software such as GOM Inspect, PolyWorks, MCOSMOS or similar metrology software
  • Understanding of product development processes, including design, prototyping, and productionization
  • Demonstrated technical problem solving and product development skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Experience in root cause investigation and analysis of failures to develop corrective and preventative actions
  • Experience working with regulatory requirements, including AS9100, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949, is a plus
  • Experience working with suppliers and customers
