Midweight Video Editor - Up to £35,000pa

We’re working with a small but big-hitting, full service film / video production agency who are looking to grow their team. They are on the lookout for a Midweight Video Editor to work mostly on quick turnaround, short & engaging digital content for social, with the opportunity to occasionally work on on TVC and other video projects also.

You will be working in a Creative Department with talented motion and integrated creatives and designers and within a small team of editors. Editors at the agency are involved from brainstorming stages on projects and often have quite a lot of creative freedom to create short pieces of digital content that will go across social channels such as Instagram, Facebook as well as banners online. Typical briefs editing video from movies as well as other video content that has been shot by the agency to create multiple executions to promote and generate interest in the titles ahead of their release.

Our client looks for professional editors who enjoy adding value creatively, and getting involved in script writing, but who are also not precious as you also do your own exporting and archiving. You will also need to be great communicator to work well with creatives, producers and motion designers and deal well with pressure whilst balancing jobs and amends.

As a Midweight Editor, you will have learnt your craft with the software and be comfortable working in a busy creative department and have solid creative editing experience. You will have worked on a lot of engaging Digital Content and should enjoy working in a team of editors and also enjoy helping more junior people, offering advice or mentoring them.

The key experience required is:

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.

• Knowledge of Audition and AFX is a huge bonus.

• Experience working on digital content for social media.

• Script writing experience and creative involvement in previous projects.
