As a Medical Science Liaison the main purpose of the role will be to build partnerships with external healthcare professionals in UK and to communicate evidence based critical scientific, technical and development information relating to Grifols products which are or will be marketed in the country. 

What your responsibilities will be

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to, and support the delivery of, the UK medical plan across a range of therapeutic areas.

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge to be the expert on the products and disease area(s).

  • Identify thought leaders for insight gathering, to plan advisory boards, conference speaking and undertaking clinical research.

  • Identify and map KOL/HCP across a range of therapeutic areas.

  • Establish peer-to-peer relationships with established, and emerging, KOLs. 

  • Gather intelligence on the patient pathway and therapeutic decision making for relevant disease areas.

  • Respond to medical and scientific queries with high quality, evidence-based information in a timely manner across a range of therapy areas.

  • Support company sponsored and investigator-initiated research activities.

  • Conduct regular literature reviews to highlight interesting and relevant publications.

  • Work within the current relevant codes of practice e.g. ABPI, MHRA and have high standard of compliance to SOPs and processes.

  • Identify developmental needs to be worked on through training, coaching and mentorship. 

Who you are

  • You have a PhD in Life Science or you are a registered Pharmacist. 
  • You have experience working in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology/healthcare industry or you have specific medical science knowledge and specialist experience in biologic therapies (immunology/haematology/oncology preferred).
  • You have ability to use IT tools and interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms.
  • You speak fluent English. 
  • You have excellent communication & presentation skills. You also have ability to understand and convey scientific information in a credible and engaging manner.
  • You are able to effectively work independently and contribute to multifunctional teams.
