National Service Manager (Construction Equipment)

Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a supplier of Construction equipment who are looking to bring on a National Service Manager to manage their day to day service and maintenance function across the UK as well as being the first line of technical support for their customer base. Responsibilities

· Overseeing the service team working in both the field and from the company’s depot

· Being the first line of technical support for customers and engineers for electrical and mechanical issues

· Planning and scheduling the maintenance of all equipment

· Holding responsibility for the budget management within the service department

· Compiling with all health and safety procedures

· Working alongside the other members of the senior management team and attending regular meetings

Requirements

The company are ideally looking for an individual with management experience within the crane or heavy plant industries. However, this is not essential, they would also consider candidates with experience of working in other sectors with likes to construction provided you have experience of running a team. It is also vital that you have worked in a technical role, with mechanical and electrical experience, since you will be required to give technical support. In terms of location, although the role is national, due to requirements to travel to the depot, you must be within commutable distance of Northamptonshire. You will also be expected to stay overnight on occasion.

The company is a national provider of various crane services and accessories. Operating for over 25 years, they specialize in the hire and sale of self-erecting and city tower cranes for various construction building projects. They’re also heavily involved in supplying clients with related products such as crane attachments, skips and types of handling equipment. Due to continued business growth, the company are looking to on-board a new National Service Manager.
