Job Summary:
We are looking for an outgoing and pragmatic junior naval architect / CAD designer with attention to detail and accuracy to join our friendly team based in modern offices. A strong team player with a proactive approach. Well organised with excellent communication skills. The work is varied and would include general arrangement and detail fit out design, weight estimating, stability and general engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Create and modify detailed drawings using CAD software
- Assist in the preparation of design plans, layouts, and schematics
- Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to understand project requirements
- Conduct research and gather relevant information to support design decisions
- Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards
- Maintain organised project files and documentation
- Participate in project meetings and provide input as needed
Requirements:
- Honours degree in Naval Architecture
- Minimum one year post-graduate work experience
- Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhino 3D
- Experience in Superyacht and power craft design
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design specifications
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
