Job Title: New Business Account Manager (Local Gov, Public Sector)

Location: Remote

Job Description: I am currently partnered with an exciting Government tech consultancy who are seeking a dynamic and experienced New Business Account Manager to join the Local Government team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding the the Local Gov (Public Sector) excellent communication skills, a strong sales acumen, and a passion for exceeding targets.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Generation: Identify and generate new leads within the Local Government space through various channels such as cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  2. Client Prospecting: Research and identify potential clients, understand their needs, and tailor sales pitches to meet their requirements.
  3. Sales Presentations: Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting the features and benefits of our products/services.
  4. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships and repeat business.
  5. Sales Negotiation: Negotiate terms and close sales deals to achieve revenue targets.
  6. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new sales opportunities.
  7. CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, prospects, and client interactions in the CRM system.
  8. Sales Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and forecasts for management review.
  9. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and support to clients throughout the sales process and after-sales service.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in sales, with at least 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with a passion for sales.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
