Full Job Description

OK, so you're going to need to have a couple of years experience within NPD or Product Management at very least... and ideally within either food products or another shelved or packaged product, sold to consumers!

Likewise, if you've got a passion for food and drink... and have a knack taking innovative ideas from that initial conception (with the wisdom gained from your insights) through to product launch, this one could be for you.

Straight up, this one is a role which is new to a rapidly growing business, so a relatively 'blank slate' is here to play with. You'll have support in this function, but with it being a new role, the business will be looking to you to drive development and innovation overall.

The role is five days per week in the office, as you'll be a 'linchpin' team member within the operations function.

The business is very established, and with some very big successes behind it. The role will look a lot like many other NPD roles, but the real exciting part of this one, is the ownership you'll have of the function and the control of where the products are headed.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the NPD process, from identifying market opportunities and consumer trends to developing and testing new food/drink products.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, ops, and sales to ensure product innovation aligns with business goals.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring new products are launched on time and within budget.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Oversee product costing, ensuring profitability and value for money.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in a similar NPD role ideally within the food or drinks industry
  • A strong understanding of product development and process to 'get there'
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet customer deadlines.
  • A creative and innovative approach to product development, able to guide others
  • Experience working effectively with people who don't have NPD knowledge

What we offer:

  • The chance to make a real impact on a growing and successful company.
  • £35-40,000 on the salary
  • 23 days holiday, full Christmas close down
  • Taste testing, discounted and gifted food/drinks products!

This is a full-time (5 days a week) position based near Whittlesey, so the ability to attend the office daily is essential. They're a great team though, so don't worry... you'll be very welcome and looked after!!
