We are recruiting for a skilled Night Shift CNC Turner to a global engineering company in Yeovil, Somerset.

Hours:
Night Shift: 34 hours per week. Monday to Thursday, 10.00pm - 7.00am (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
Shift Premiums:
Early / Late Shift
Salary
Basic Salary + 18%
Night Shift Salary
Basic Salary + 50%
Saturday/Sunday
Overtime Rate
Basic Hourly Rate + 38%
Overtime Rate (hours
worked over core hours)

Job Summary: To set and operate CNC lathes to produce aerospace components to customer specification.
This role will include:
- Set and operate CNC lathes, some of which have live tooling
- Check and inspect own work using inspection equipment (Verniers, micrometres, SPG's and PPG's)
- In process inspection to ensure total process control is maintained
- Manufacture components from engineering drawings to the correct quality standards
- Ensure that information relating to the manufacturing process is accurately recorded, maintained and updated to reflect current process on job cards
- Ensure that preventative machine maintenance schedules are strictly carried out
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment at all times
Skills and experience required:
- Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent (indentures accepted)
- Knowledge of Fanuc control systems
- Aerospace industry experience desired
- Experience working with engineering drawings and work to instructions i.e. job cards
- Ability to set and operate different machine tools
- PC literate
