We have a friendly home from home setting near Clapham which is looking for a Nursery Manager to lead and develop their team.

This nursery strives to provide the children with the best resources, environments, and learning support to allow them to discover their individuality and develop and grow into content, confident, healthy, and curious people. It has a great outdoor space that provides a place where imagination comes to life, and for children to plant their own vegetables, herbs, plants, and flowers. They also have interactive extra-curricular activities including languages, music and sports.
As the Nursery Manager you will foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where the children are enabled to learn, discover and develop physical, emotional and intellectual capability.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional care and support, ensuring the childrens’ safety, well-being, and development are nurtured at every turn
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of a diverse range of engaging and age-appropriate activities that nurture creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning
  • Work collaboratively with the team to support staff and create a harmonious environment where everyone feels valued and respected
  • The Nursery Manager builds strong and positive relationships with parents and families to ensure a seamless transition between home and nursery life
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Level 3 Childcare Qualification or above. A recognized qualification in childcare or early years education is essential
  • Significant experience of managing staff in a childcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues alike.
  • The ability to adapt to changing situations and respond with patience, empathy, and flexibility
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, both personally and for the wider team
