No job description addedBased in Southeast London, we are looking for a Nursery Room Leader for a modern, bright nursery with an experienced staff who plan each day with help from the children.

Recognised for the outstanding progress that children make, this nursery is looking for a Nursery Room Leader to help continue providing a friendly and educational setting. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a nursery room, providing high-quality care and education for young children. The role involves a combination of childcare responsibilities, staff management, curriculum planning, and administration. With an excellent outdoor area and lots of activities to try (climbing, ballet, baking and much more), there is something for all interests, following a well-structured curriculum that caters to the unique needs of each age group.

This nursery focuses on fostering early learning, creativity, and social skills. With excellent public transport links, this nursery also has many nearby attractions for the children to explore.

Responsibilities:   

• The Nursery Room Leader will build good relationships, with colleagues, parents and care givers
• Be able to follow all Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and plan and deliver suitable activities for the age group
• Create a nurturing and engaging environment for all the children in the room
• Mentor and supervise colleagues, to develop their skills and knowledge
• Maintain records of each child’s development and share their progress with their parents and guardians

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

• Relevant level 3 childcare or Early Years Educator qualification
• Clear communication skills
• Punctual and reliable
• Work in a collaborative, pleasant and patient manner
