Full Job Description

We are looking for a Nursery and Pre School Room Leader to join a Nursery in a wonderful setting in Southeast London. Close to the tube and bus routes, this a spacious, modern nursery with separate rooms and gardens for different age groups.

You will manage a team in your room to create and plan daily activities to engage and teach the children and put smiles on their faces. You will help develop the children further, nurturing and exploring their curiosities together. You’ll also work closely with the management team and parents to build great relationships.

Responsibilities:   

• Establish and maintain open and effective communication with parents, including daily updates, parent-teacher conferences, and addressing any questions
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines to support children's learning and development
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to staff, and oversee their performance to maintain high-quality care and education
• Monitor and assess children's development, identifying any developmental concerns and addressing them in collaboration with parents
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to nursery staff, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in early childhood education
