Full Job Description

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Operational Training   Quality Assurance team. You will be working as part of a centralised support function, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, with the responsibility for optimising the quality of operational training across all areas, seeking to ensure consistency and drive improvement. You will have the opportunity to manage change and implement innovative solutions to support training and delivery.

 

How will you contribute?

  • Working across all operational training sectors to define and implement policies and processes around the quality of teaching and learning. 
  • Deliver the L3 Award in Education and Training or be willing to gain the qualifications to enable you to deliver the qualification. 
  • Monitor the quality of delivery to ensure parity of training standards across all training courses within our portfolio. 
  • Using learner feedback, monitor the success and impact of training. 
  • Conduct relevant CPD courses and personal research and reading to keep up to date with legal, industry, and Company trends and requirements.
  • Support the HSEQ Training Operational Manager to measure and monitor the impact of HSEQ training delivered.
  • Carry out quality reviews on training delivered, producing timely and accurate reports for training analysis and standardisation purposes.
  • Attend standardisation meetings with the HSEQ team.
  • Monitor internal compliance of governance processes, identifying best practice both internally and externally and ensuring the highest possible standards. 
  • Quality assurance of subcontracted training providers. 
  • Continuous improvements on internal processes and procedures for the function
  • Monitoring and evaluation of quality of training and delivery across all  areas of operational training
  • Periodic reporting of compliance status across HSEQ trainers.

 

What will you bring?

  • IT literate including experience of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to assimilate operational details and findings, and measure against the expectations of Company, Legal requirements, and Awarding Organisation specifications, producing an objective assessment of the who or what is being assessed.
  • Have a working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of a trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of the learners.
  • Hold a minimum of a L4 Certificate in Education & Training (QCF or RQF) (or higher / equivalent) or be willing to obtain it.
  • Experience of working within a Quality Assurance function within the training/education sector
  • Have a working knowledge of safety schemes and accreditations including, but not limited to, HSEQ.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to develop teaching and training material using the appropriate resources to support effective learning.
  • Hold or be happy to work towards achieving a quality assurance qualification. (e.g., Certificate in leading Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and practice – L4 or equivalent)
  • Understand the needs of the HSAW act and associated legislation pertinent across the business.
  • Have a working knowledge of safety schemes and accreditations and demonstrate an awareness of the needs of the HSAW Act and associated legislation pertinent across the business
