Operations Director (Solar PV/Battery & EV Chargers Installations)

We're looking for an experienced Operations Director to join our leadership team to shape the operational success of Octopus Energy Services, particularly to cover Solar PV, Battery and EV Charger installations . This role is vital in driving efficiency, ensuring high quality and safe service delivery, and contributing to the overall success of OES.  The scope of this role covers all operational activities relating to installing and maintaining low carbon heating technologies with rapidly scaling internal and external workforces. 

What you'll do

• Deliver rapid growth in your area of responsibility 
• Day-to-day management of one of our workforces, with key focus on solar and electric car charger installations 
• Take the lead on Identifying and implementing continuous improvements for enhanced efficiency.
• Maintaining quality and constantly driving improvements
• Deliver innovations to benefit customer satisfaction, efficiency, quality and safety.
• Work closely with peers and colleagues across the organisation in an harmonious way, avoiding or removing duplication of effort as we scale
• Coach and mentor your colleagues to ensure they can reach their full potential
• Plan ahead to ensure capacity and infrastructure are being delivered in line with growth in demand

What you'll need

• Proven experience in a senior operations role in a high growth, fast paced environment. Ideally within Solar/EV Chargers/ Metering - it would be super beneficial.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performance teams
• To be able to work with colleagues from across the business, playing a key part in shaping the customer proposition
• The agility and flexibility to adapt to changes in the industry and business environment.
• An entrepreneurial flair, the ability to think laterally, disruptively and inspire others to do the same
• The desire to have an in-depth understanding of the industry, including regulations, best practices, and emerging trends.
• To be a self-starter and not afraid to roll sleeves up and get stuck in

This is a remote role with regular travel. Particularly to our Slough, Hinckley and Brighton sites.
