Full Job Description

Are you a Scrub Nurse with a heart full of compassion and an eye for detail? We've got a fantastic opportunity for you to join a leading Eye Care specialist in the UK, based in Carlisle. This role comes with a salary ranging from 33,000 to 41,000, negotiable based on your experience. You'll be working between 7.30 am and 5.30 pm, four days per week with the occasional Saturday shift. No night shifts are required, giving you the perfect work-life balance.

As an Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse, you'll be:

  • Working closely with Surgeons and the wider healthcare team to deliver various eye care procedures in theatre.
  • Undertaking pre- and post-operative observations.
  • Assisting with specialist procedures in the theatre room.
  • Playing a key role in delivering the best possible person-centred care.
We're looking for an Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse who is:

  • A Registered Nurse (RGN) / ODP Practitioner with current NMC PIN or HCPC Registration.
  • Experienced in a scrub role, preferably in Ophthalmic, but we're open to newly qualified candidates.
  • Able to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
  • Quick thinking and able to solve problems under pressure.
