Job Role: Overhead Gantry Crane Operator

Location: Hoveringham

Pay: 13

Start: ASAP

Description

Barker Ross are currently recruiting for an experienced and skilled Overhead Gantry Crane Operator to work for our client in Hoveringham.

You will be responsible for operating an overhead gantry crane to lift, move and position precast concrete. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the crane, while adhering to all relevant safety regulations.

As an Overhead Gantry Crane Operator, you will need to have a strong understanding of crane operations and excellent hand-eye coordination. You should also have the ability to interpret and follow instructions, as well as maintain a high level of attention to detail. This position requires physical strength and stamina, as you will be lifting and moving heavy objects on a regular basis.

MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT TO GET TO THIS LOCATION.

Responsibilities

  • Operating a Gantry Crane.
  • Heavy lifting and supporting others.
  • Following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Setting up cranes.
  • Monitoring crane stability and load weights.
  • Conducting machine safely.
  • Moving materiel around site according to plan or schedule.

Requirements:

  • Driving license
  • Previous experience operating the Gantry Crane.
  • Flexibility with shifts.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Physically able.
