PIM Consultant / BA - Contract

The PIM Consultant is responsible for analysing, designing, implementing, and optimizing Product Information Management (PIM) solutions to help clients manage and distribute product data effectively across their organization.

Responsibilities:

Client Consultation:

• Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their business goals, product data management challenges, and requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business, functional, and technical requirements for PIM implementation.

PIM Solution Design:

• Design end-to-end PIM solutions tailored to meet clients' specific needs and business objectives.
• Develop data models, taxonomy, and metadata structures to organize and classify product information effectively.
• Define workflows, data governance policies, and data quality standards to ensure accuracy and consistency of product data.

Implementation and Configuration:

• Lead the implementation and configuration of PIM systems, including software installation, setup, and customization.
• Configure data import/export processes, data mappings, and data transformation rules to facilitate seamless integration with other systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, eCommerce platforms).
• Collaborate with developers to implement customizations, extensions, and integrations to address unique client requirements.

Data Migration and Onboarding:

• Plan and execute data migration activities to migrate product data from legacy systems or spreadsheets into the new PIM solution.
• Develop migration scripts, mappings, and validation procedures to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Provide training and support to users during the onboarding process to ensure smooth adoption of the new PIM system.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working as a PIM Consultant, PIM Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on implementing and configuring PIM solutions.
• Riversand/Syndigo experience is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of PIM concepts, standards, and technologies (e.g., PIM software platforms, data modelling, taxonomy management, data governance).
• Hands-on experience with PIM software platforms such as Akeneo, inRiver, Stibo Systems, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Project management experience, including the ability to manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Willingness to travel as needed to client sites for onsite consultations, workshops, and training sessions.
