Package Manager

Location: Cumbria ,CA20 1PG
Salary: 41.07 p/h PAYE / 53.99 p/h Umbrella (inside IR35)
Term: 12 Month contract likely to extend

The role: Exciting opportunity for a skilled Package Manager to lead multidisciplinary work packages in Cumbria's nuclear sector, ensuring seamless delivery from design to commissioning while maintaining rigorous quality and budget standards.

Duties/Responsibilities may include:

  • Management of work packages/systems and support to the BEPDT Management Team in the successful delivery of the BEP project for the client.
  • To coordinate the delivery of multidisciplinary work packages through all phases of the project, i.e. engineering design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
  • To assume 'cradle to grave' accountability for a work package
  • Ensure all changes are identified and managed, and configuration control is maintained,
  • Lead the package team to ensure key project milestones are met in accordance with timescale, budget and quality
  • To act as key contact for and manage interfaces with external Subcontractors and design houses engaged
  • Manage external contracts in support of package implementation

Skills, experience & qualifications:

  • Experience of managing packages of work on EPC projects or similar
  • Proven track record of successfully working on NEC3 projects
  • Experience in Project / Customer Reporting
  • Qualification in Project Management preferable
  • Experience and demonstrated abilities of working as part of a collaborative team, in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience in Mechanical and/or EC&I services.
  • Experience within nuclear sector
  • Hold a minimum HND or equivalent
