Media Execution - let’s introduce ourselves
As
Paid Social Channel Lead you will join our Media Execution team that
reports to our global Head of Media, Planning & Analytics.
In the media execution team we are building a globally scalable
and cost efficient media operations model across the digital media
ecosystems. The role of the channel owner is to ensure that we are
building out the paid social channels in the best way to support
output towards our KPI framework over time. This is a global role so
you will sync with regionally located colleagues within the media
execution team to align on regionally relevant projects and
initiatives. To your help you have our regional agency set-ups in
EMEA, North America and APEC.
Within the team you have colleagues in similar roles to this one (channel owners within paid search and programmatic) and colleagues focusing on the more short term steering of media (media performance lead). You will also work closely with colleagues in planning, analytics, content as well as local marketing leaders.
Paid Social Channel Lead – this
is what you’ll do
In this new role you will be the be the
global owner of paid social media best practices, channel selection
and setup.Your focus will be on how to strategically develop the
channel rather than on the day-to-day actions and optimizations. There
will be an equal focus on brand building campaigns and performance
media.
Here is a bit of what you will be doing in more
detail.
• Ensure that together with the agency we have solid
processes for ensuring the brilliant basics are consistent across our
paid social activation.
• Based on input from colleagues and
agency stakeholders, prioritize and build out the test-and-learn
roadmap for the channel.
• Build out collaboration / joint
business plans together with the internal marketing operations team
and media owners such as Meta and Google.
• Stay up to date
with the latest marketing theory and best practices for the Paid
Social channels in Volvos suite to ensure quality in the
delivery.
• Work closely with media strategy and planning team
for ensuring activation in accordance with media strategy.

Proactively share channel roadmaps and learnings throughout the
marketing community in a structured and pedagogic way.

This is a new way of
working we are building up and you will be driving in setting the
standards for working with digital media in the covered markets. We
hope you bring an entrepreneurial mindset striving for continuous
improvement.
Internal teams and agency will look at
you for guidance and steering when it comes to the paid social media
channel. It is therefore important that you work in a structured way
and that you can describe your projects in a pedagogic to different
audiences.
You have experience of building growth from
digital media and the decisions you make are based on data. You have
good attention to detail which helps you understand challenges and
opportunities quickly. The local marketing teams will be relying on
you to be the specialist in digital media topics and therefore it is
essential that you are a good collaborator with excellent
communication skills.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or
master's degree within Marketing, or similar level of education.
• Significant experience of marketing, as well as solid
understanding of relevant regional media landscape and the mechanics
of how different digital media channels work together.
• Up
to date with the latest trends and best practices on targeting,
creative optimization, automation, and attribution within paid social
channels.
• We believe you have at least 5 years’ experience
in similar roles and have a strong record of driving online sales
growth.
• Solid skills in paid social platforms such as
Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Linkedin, Twitter to name a few
•
Experience from agency side of media buying for global brands in an
international context is preferable.
• Previous experience
from a global or regional role is meriting.
• Fluent English
written and spoken.
• Experience from international,
multicultural, and multifunctional environments a merit.
