Full Job Description

Royal Mail is one of the UK's best-loved brands. Every day, bringing letters and parcels to people around the country; something that communities across the UK rely on. They are 150,000 strong with 500 years of history and are hugely proud of the service they provide.

You'll start your day in the local delivery office, sorting your packages, , before taking out your van to complete your round. Here any local knowledge of Luton, Dunstable, Leagrave and surrounding areas will come in helpful but isn't mandatory!

You will have been given a hand-held scanner to help you load up the van. This will also be used to capture customer signatures for deliveries. This hand-held computer will also act as your routing system putting your round in the most economical route, telling you which location to go to next.

Then upon returning to the depot, the van should be empty and as such will be the conclusion of your shift. Of course if you are wanting to help out a little extra after your shift that will be greatly appreciated and any extra work you do, it will be paid for.
