Part-Time Temporary Lecturers (Bank Staff) in:

Social Care (Ref: WCSR0001107)

Salary £35170 to £43357 per annum pro rata (plus generous staff benefits package)

As part of our commitment to meet and respond quickly to the needs of our students we wish to appoint inspirational, knowledgeable individuals to join our bank of temporary lecturing staff to deliver a range of Social Care subjects across all levels of the curriculum.

As part of our teaching team, you will prepare and deliver high quality teaching and assess students against relevant frameworks whilst providing appropriate support to ensure the best possible learning experience for our students. You must be able to communicate effectively whilst working as part of a dynamic team. You should be confident utilising relevant software and digital technologies and be able to integrate these into your teaching. 

Candidates must be highly creative, organised and passionate about supporting and motivating our students and hold a qualification at SCQF Level 9 (e.g. Degree) or above within the specialist area of Social Care and be eligible to register with Scottish Social Sciences Council.

You must have an appropriate level of recent experience working within a relevant vocational setting to be able to teach the course, subjects and levels delivered. Previous teaching / delivery of SVQs / lecturing experience is desirable, however, if you are new to teaching, we will work with you to support you in this exciting career change. Successful candidates should be prepared to work towards a professional teaching qualification.
