Full Job Description

A well-known retail organisation in the Haslemere area is looking for an accomplished Payroll Manager to join their finance department on a part time basis (2 days per week) and take overall responsibility for running their payroll function.

With the assistance of a Payroll Administrator, you will ensure the timely and efficient completion of weekly and monthly payrolls for (Apply online only) employees (salaried, hourly and commission).

What will the Part Time Payroll Manager role involve?

  • Timesheet checking and input.
  • Commission calculation and reconciliation.
  • Statutory payments – SSP, SMP, PAYE and National Insurance.
  • Auto Enrolment processes.
  • Month end posting of payroll journals.
  • Year-end processing, reconciliation, and issue of P60s, P11ds and PSAs.
  • Adjustment to employee records as provided by HR.

Suitable Candidate for the Part Time Payroll Manager vacancy:

  • Significant experience in all aspects of running complex payrolls for (Apply online only) staff, including the ability to process manual calculations.
  • Management/supervisory experience would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of accounting and payroll systems (ideally MoorePay) plus confident Excel user (pivots & lookups).
  • CIPP or other payroll certification desirable.
