Full Job Description

We are looking for part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at our surgery in Battersea.

Our current part-time vet will be working with us until the end of June because he is relocating outside of London.

We are advertising early to have time to arrange interviews which means you can meet the team and we can find the right candidate for the position.

Candidate must be minimum 3 years qualified and registered with the RCVS. Annual salary range £36,000-£42,000 for a 3-day week consisting of 24 hours per week allowing for a better work-life balance.

Mixture of surgery / consults is available. Either morning consults followed by full day surgery, or a full day consulting. If you prefer to just do consultations, that can be arranged too.

We are a small animal, independent practice in SW London. We are a hard-working and friendly team consisting of 3 vets and 7 nurse/support staff (high ratio of vets/nurses). Fully equipped practice with in house MiLab blood machines, ultrasound, IV fluid pumps, digital radiographs and dental radiographs. We do see some exotics (rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, ferrets) but experience in this area is not essential.

Position available from the start of July 2024.

We are a growing small animal practice and we offer our employees:

- Active involvement in the direction and development of the practice

- Autonomy to make day-to-day decisions to improve systems, processes and client engagement-

- Continuity of patient and client care.

- An alternative to the corporate 'recipe'.

Why Should You Apply to work at our practice?

- We respect, appreciate and value our team member's

- We know the importance of having autonomy- some control over your everyday life

- We are passionately independent, we  manage our practice here, not in some remote head office

- We believe Veterinary care is changing and that our role is to build the collaborative bond between our vets, our client's and their pets. You can be an instrumental part in this journey.

- We respect that everyone needs time to decompress, and adequate rest to be at their best. We don't want to burn out any of our team members, so we strive to be flexible and realistic in our time management.

- Generous CPD allowance and private medical insurance.

Are you the missing piece to our growth plans? Let's find out together! Irrespective of your current role in Practice, we would love to hear from you.
