Plant Manager

c£90,000 plus relocation package

Isle of Wight

MC Technical Recruitment  are currently seeking candidates for a state-of-the-art Energy from Waste plant on the Isle of Wight.

We are actively seeking to recruit a Plant Manager / Operations Manager , to ensure ongoing plant performance & production targets are met, achieving or exceeding contractual obligations.

As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:

•        Full responsibility for continuous operation of the plant

•    Ownership of the Operations & Maintenance contracts, & all commercial aspects of the site

•          Overall Health, Safety & Environmental leadership & responsibility

•          Assuming & managing the site budget & P&L

•          Implementing best practice process & safe systems of work for O&M

•          Managing team performance

•          Ensuring the plant is operating within permits at all times

•          Ensuring health & safety is adhered to at all times

•          Implementing & managing the permit to work system for safe works

•          Stakeholder management

•          Build & maintain a culture that encourages & motivates the team

•      Develop a strategy to drive continuous improvement & improve business performance

To be considered for this position, you should have:

•          Engineering, Operations or Manufacturing Management of large technical or engineering teams

•          Relevant Engineering / Technical qualifications (HND / Degree)

•          Business acumen and experience in managing budgets

•          Lean Manufacturing & or Six Sigma qualifications

This is a permanent position based in Milton Keynes; due to the location of the plant you will need a full UK driving licence to access the site. 

The package on offer for this position includes:

•          Basic salary up to £90,000, depending on experience plus relocation package

•          Bonus scheme

•          Car allowance
