Recruiting now for an experienced Weekend Plastic Injection Mould Setter- Day shifts

Our great company in Littlehamptonis a premier, privately owned medical injection moulding and cleanroom assembly company, committed to producing high-quality single-use medical devices and components for the healthcare industry. Our cleanroom moulding facility in Littlehampton, West Sussex houses 12 moulding machines ranging from 22- 220 tonnes. The machines are a mix of Engel, Boy and Fanuc.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Injection Mould Setter for 3 WEEKEND DAYS (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) to join our dynamic team in the MouldShop. This role is specifically for our weekend day shift, ensuring the seamless operation of our injection moulding machines and contributing to the production of vital medical equipment. The successful candidate will be required to join our day shift team during the week for a period of training and product induction.

Responsibilities:

- Set-up, operate, and maintain injection moulding machines within a class 8 cleanroom environment.

- Install mould tooling and set machines to approved settings for optimal production.

- Collaborate with production and tooling teams to ensure smooth operations and identify areas for improvement.

- Conduct mould trials, document results, and assist in the validation of new tooling.

- Perform planned maintenance on moulds and ancillary equipment.

- Monitor product quality during production and take necessary corrective actions.

- Support engineering in the installation and validation of new equipment and technologies.

Requirements:

- Relevant industry experience, preferably with apprenticeship or accredited training certification.

- Familiarity with Fanuc, Engel, and Boy machine control systems.

- Proficiency in processing various polymers (ABS, PC, PE, PVC, HDPE).

- Understanding of injection mould tooling , ideally including experience with insert changes.

- Strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.

- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Hours and Shift:

Friday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Saturday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

The hours above are flexible, we could move the shift earlier if required.
