Full Job Description

A multi-billion dollar AUM, global asset management firm, are looking to make a newly created front office hire into its London office.

The hire will specifically provide support to the Global Team of Fund Managers and Analysts, with a remit split between ‘portfolio construction’ and ‘data management’. Quantitative analysis and execution responsibilities are key, but in addition the hire will maintain target investment lists, as well as providing more detailed analysis on them (systematic screening for new ideas – this includes broader market based work, looking for anomalies, potential opportunities, flagging potential issues with the stocks or wider macro concerns verses what the firm are currently invested in etc.). Separately, the hire will still be encouraged to come to the PM with ideas and suggestions.

Change management can become a core part of the remit – changing existing processes and improving what is currently being done are tasks that can be built out by the hire on as big a scale as they feel is appropriate.

Progression prospects can be varied. Building out this role / remit into something much bigger is the priority, however progression into a specific sector analyst role is possible.

Candidates should have a strong academic background. We are open to candidate background, however most likely he/she will be somebody in equity execution (if they understand accounting principles / equity valuation), equity valuations / IPV, equity trader assistants, a current portfolio construction analyst, or potentially an equity analyst looking for a change in focus. Roughly 5-10yrs relevant experience is suitable.

The role can pay up to a £100k base salary. A top performer can achieve a 100% bonus, however a conservative range for a strong performer is 50%+.

It is worth noting that the firm have a flexible approach to work (2-3 days WFH is possible each week) and they offer a fantastic work life balance (830-530 daily). The have rock-bottom staff attrition rates.
