Mobile Powered Access Engineer - London area

Door-to-door pay, Overtime Available and Vehicle

Alecto Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Powered Access Engineer based in the London area

Our client is seeking an experienced Mobile Powered Access to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of mobile powered access equipment. This will include scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other elevated work platforms and Truck mount cranes.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of mobile powered access equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other elevated work platforms
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • IPAF certification for mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs)
  • LOLER certification for thorough examinations of lifting equipment
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours and travel to customer sites
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Relevant certification in mobile powered access equipment maintenance and repair is desirable, CAP (Certified Access Professional) certification preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on mobile powered access equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Equipment Inspection and Testing: Perform thorough inspections and testing to identify and address any issues or defects.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, and implement control measures to minimize hazards.
  • Training and Supervision: Provide training on safe operation and supervise personnel using the equipment.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, repairs, and training.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry advancements and seek opportunities to enhance equipment performance and safety.
