Job Description: Locum Practice Nurse

Position:  Locum Practice Nurse  

Schedule : Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays

Location: Wirral

Hourly Rate: £30 per hour  

Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients within our practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and skilled nurse to contribute to the well-being of our patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Perform clinical assessments and provide nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
3. Assist in the management of chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
4. Conduct health screenings, vaccinations, and immunizations as required.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants, to ensure coordinated patient care.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and practice policies.
7. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices within the practice setting.
9. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
10. Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and respect for patients' rights and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:
1. Valid nursing qualification and current registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., NMC).
2. Proven experience as a Practice Nurse or in a similar clinical setting.
3. Proficiency in clinical assessment, nursing procedures, and medication administration.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
7. Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting positive health outcomes.
8. Flexibility to work Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays as per the schedule requirements.
9. Willingness to undergo relevant background checks and occupational health screenings.
