Our well know and award winning client based in Royston are currently looking for a Pre-Press Print Operative to join their fast growing team, on a Permanent basis.
 
If you have Print or Manufacturing experience, then this role could be the perfect next step for you.
 
The hours of this role are on a Rotational basis. Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm
 
The salary for this position is £27,327 per annum (including shift allowance)
 
Main duties as a Pre-Press Print Operative:
- Machine operating duties such as; assembly of print cylinders, plate mounting, anilox selection and preparation, ink preparation, cutter and tool mounting, material loading and changeovers
- Strip down press/make ready for next job
- Check print job schedule running order to improve shift efficiency
- Maintain continuous improvement
- Strict adherence to production procedures and SOP's
- General equipment maintenance, and high levels of cleanliness
- Provide cover on press when required (following successful training)
- Load reels
 
Skill and experience needed as a Pre-Press Print Operative:
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions well
- Able to work both individually and as part of a team
- Ability to learn and apply new methods and procedures
- Strong maths skills
- PC literate
- Previous pre-press/printing experience desirable, but not essential
