Introduction

Do you have detailed knowledge of Prevent and knowledge of partnership work and crime and disorder partnerships? Do you have excellent communication skills and experience of transformation and change? Your analytical skills and ability to advise and make evidence based recommendations are required.

What’s the role?

You will work with colleagues from a wide range of services to review, optimise and improve Lewisham's Prevent Duty delivery. You will develop and implement a transition pathway, making recommendations on how Lewisham will continue to meet its statutory Prevent duties, embedding Prevent into the Council’s mainstream delivery, across departments and teams.

What we’re looking for

You will work to develop a local plan for Prevent in Lewisham. Be able to demonstrate your expertise across a range of disciplines, including diplomacy, effective communication, engagement, transformation and change. You will be responsible for delivering Lewisham's Prevent Action Plan and risk assessment.
 
This is a temporary 12 months contract

Location

The job is primarily based in our Holbeach Road offices in Catford, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Special conditions
  • Hold or working towards a recognised qualification relevant to the role  
  • Able to attend meetings/site visits in locations both inside and outside the borough
  • Must be able to work flexible hours i.e., some evening meetings outside normal working hours and occasional weekends 
  • The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check

Salary

£49, 071 - £51, 099 per annum (P04)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
