As a Principal Information Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Oversight and Governance, Resiliency Technology team, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.
As part of Corporate Oversight & Governance Technology (COGT) within Corporate Technology, you’ll be part of a team being created to drive our evolving technology needs. COGT is responsible for developing technology solutions that support the Compliance, Controls, Legal, Regulatory, Office of Reg & Documents Governance, Internal Audit and Resiliency.
This is a Director level role.
Job responsibilities
- Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
- Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
- Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert
- Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
- Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and expert applied experience
- Understanding of Data Architectures and models across operational and analytic use cases (e.g., OLTP modelling, Star schema, Low latency analytical)
- Data Management Practices, including Data Dictionaries & vocabularies, Lineage, Cataloguing & registration, logical & physical representations of data, Data Quality
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Expertise in one or more programming language(s)
- Deep knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines
- Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives
- Understanding of the business
- Practical cloud native experience
- Data Governance practices, such as evaluating metadata & data, assess for usability, standard definition, publishing standards, drift monitoring
- Focus on forward engineering practices rather than tollgates using development type artifacts / manifests rather than PPT/XLS paperwork
- Data Standards for all data publishing, regardless of operational/analytical, and how that advances the greater good
- Business architecture application methods, including mapping of business capabilities, services, processes to the information and data architecture
