The Role: Print and Finishing Trainee – Southend Based
Our client is working with One to One Personnel exclusively and is currently seeking to appoint a trainee to join their busy Print Production Team. Full training within the digital print, finishing and mailing departments will be given. You will need to be reliable, personable, and punctual with the ability to take instruction and work under pressure. You will need good communication and learning skills to develop your knowledge in the vibrant work environment. Some IT skills for the Digital Print department would be preferable.
Key Responsibilities:
- To learn printing and finishing process from existing staff members.
- To build knowledge of various machinery and equipment used.
- To understand the quality control, environmental and data security requirements of our business and how that affects your role.
- To accurately read and understand jobsheet instructions.
- To understand customer requirements to ensure that the final product meets their expectations.
- To carry out any other work as directed by the supervisors and management.
- To comply with the Company’s quality procedures, health and safety and security procedures
- Receive and attend training courses as required
- Work in an organised manner and in a tidy environment
The Package
- Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with hours dependant on department. Shift work will be required after suitable training period completed
- £22,308 Per annual £11.44 per hour overtime paid at time and half Mon-Sat and double time Sunday
- Holiday in the first year will be 20 days pro-rata and 25 days annual leave after first full year
