Full Job Description

Salary – circa £27,000 – £31,000, dependent on skills and experience   

After your training has been successfully completed, salary can rise to £34553, this will be depending on performance and qualifications

You will be working within the Anglian Water region covering areas around covering the Grimsby, Brigg and Scunthorpe areas

Permanent , 37 hours per week, full time

This team-oriented position will see you joining our Water Supply Team working around the South Humber area, ensuring that the Water Supply process delivers treated water by carrying out vital routine operations. 

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our abstraction, treatment and pumping and storage systems. Operating machinery, monitoring processes and problem solving across several sites will all be part of this varied role, as well as maintaining quality compliance and adhering to company policies and procedures. 

As well as carrying out routine & reactive process operations (e.g. process optimisation, plant shutdown / restart tests, contractor management, chemical deliveries, reservoir inspections), the successful candidate will also work on water quality instruments & control systems, carrying out verification checks and plant performance reviews. You’ll also work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to enable you to manage and control multiple complex water treatment works.

What does it take to be a Process Technician?  

  • Ideally you will hold a NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline 

  • A process industry/engineering background.  

  • A City and Guilds part 1 in electrical or mechanical engineering would be considered an advantage.  

  • Ability to learn quickly and use your own initiative to solve problems  

  • You will benefit from access to a company vehicle, so a full driving licence is essential.
