As part of our Cost Management team, you’ll be involved in a wide range of projects from global and high profile to small and impactful, ensuring they’re delivered on time and to budget. Your expertise in planning, estimating, budgeting and managing costs will drive growth and smarter working.

The energy landscape as we know it is rapidly transforming; generating and processing enough clean energy is a big challenge to assist with the world’s Net Carbon Zero needs. Join our Nuclear team and you will be part of an industry-leading team, where you can apply your skills to national & international challenges across  energy mega projects.  We have projects and programmes both in the UK and also overseas for interested candidates.

Role accountabilities:

As a Procurement Manager you will join a team of commercial managers and project managers on a variety of projects in the nuclear sector. Your role will see you take the lead on the formation of effective category / commercial strategies and managing complex contract procurement exercises. You will also support commercial administration of contracts during the execution phase to help support the safe delivery of value for money solutions of our client’s programme, projects and business objectives.

As key driver in the successful formation and execution of the commercial strategy it is important that relationships are built and maintained with internal and external stakeholders such as Project Manager, Head of Engineering, Head of Projects, Estimating and accounts teams and the selected supply chain.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Relevant professional qualification or chartered status with a relevant professional institution i.e. CIPS
  • Ideally you will have experience working with either the NEC or FIDIC suite of contracts
  • Experience working in a highly regulated public sector environment i.e. Nuclear, Rail, Defence etc.
