Full Job Description

We are delighted to be supporting our Global client who are well established in the manufacturing industry and looking for a Product Manager to join their Glenrothes based team.

Reporting into the Director of Product Management, you will be part of a team of 4 and responsible for driving all product related initiatives including marketing, management, and planning throughout the product lifecycle from concept to launch, while controlling in-life product management activities.


Key duties will include:

  • Conduct market, technology and competitive product assessments.
  • Develop charters and business proposals for new product ideas and opportunities.
  • Assist with establishing product pricing and assessing product costs and gross margins.
  • Assist in development of product market materials.
  • Assist in maintaining up to date product forecasts to establish appropriate inventory levels with Operations.
  • Coordinate all functions to support the product line from launch to end of life cycle.
  • Support the sales team to make assigned product-lines successful.
  • Assist the development of appropriate training materials for the value chain.
  • Manage all web related activities for assigned product lines.


To be suitable for this fast-paced and pivotal role you must have the following key skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Product Management Background
  • Background in Engineering or Technical Marketing preferred.
  • Structured cabling industry experience an advantage.
  • New product development & introduction experience an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Business acumen.
  • High level of understanding of market trends and technologies relating to area of responsibility.
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results driven, self-confident individual with an ability to empathise with, and influence colleagues and customers at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a highly confidential environment; and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment.

The successful candidate will receive a highly competitive salary, car allowance, bonus stricture and benefits package. This is a 40-hour working week and hybrid working will be offered after training period is completed.
Please note that the role will require some travel throughout the year to attend meetings, conference etc.
