Production Operative

Full Job Description

Our client based in Farnborough is looking to recruit Production Operatives on a contract basis. As the Production Operative you will be required to read fromdrawings to enable you toassembleand inspect products in line with production requirements.

Main Responsibilities of the role:

• Assembly/manufacture of components, sub-assemblies, final assemblies of production and/or development products
• Inspection and testing of products including operation of automatic test equipment
• Responsibility for self-inspection thereby requiring high levels of accuracy and quality of work
• You will be trained in some of the following operations: welding, brazing, coil winding, encapsulation, soldering and machine operation

Qualifications/Experience

Must have previous experience within a similar assembly environment and have proven mechanical and/or electrical skills.

No formal qualifications are necessary but applicants must possess basic numerical and literacy skills.

Must meet stringent Visual Acuity standards including colour blindness and depth perception.

Staff are responsible for self-inspection so a high level of accuracy and quality of work is essential.

This Assembly Operator role requires the ability to work to processes and procedures and meet the required performance targets.

Must be able to work in a team environment.
