Production Planner

Location: Macclesfield

Position Overview:

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand whilst maximising efficiency and minimising costs.
• Coordinate with various departments including manufacturing, procurement and logistics to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of orders.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, and collaborate with procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
• Communicate with sales and customer service teams to provide updates on order status, address any issues and prioritise urgent orders.
• Prepare reports and presentations to provide insights into production performance, identify areas for improvement and support decision-making processes.
• Arrange for machines to be serviced and to liaise with engineers to come in to maintain machines, to ensure they are running efficiently and safely.
• Using an internal CRM system called Print IQ, training is provided for this.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a production planning related role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and implement solutions.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.

Salary/ Package:

• 35,000 - 40,000
• Monday - Friday
• 8:30am - 5pm
• Company pension
• On site parking
• 20 days holidays plus 8 bank holidays
