Full Job Description
Our well-known and highly established client based in Welham Green are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a Permanent basis.If you have a Mechanical Engineering background within a Supervising/Managing role, then this could be the perfect next step for you.
The hours for this position are Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm, and Friday, 8am-1pm
Roles & Responsibilities of a Production Supervisor:
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and company objectives
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of production staff to achieve production goals
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceeded industry standards
- Work alongside the quality assurance team to address and resolve any product issues
- Ensure a safe working environment for all production staff by enforcing safety regulations
- Generate regular reports on production performance, including KPI's
Skills and Experience needed as a Production Supervisor:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Knowledge and experience within Quality Assurance and Inspection
- Mechanical Engineering work experience and knowledge
- Proven experience in production management in mechanical engineering
- Proficient in the use of production management software and Microsoft Office suite
- Team player
- Strong attention to detail
