Programme Manager (Sizewell C)

Location : London initially, Suffolk
longer- term with significant travel. Typically, you’ll spend three
days in the office and the rest of the time remote- working.
Employment type : Permanent.
Salary :
Competitive depending on experience, plus bonus and other
benefits.
Employment basis : The role is expected to be a
full-time position.
The Opportunity

Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of
the most exciting projects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of
the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. The SZC Project is a
~£20bn nuclear new build project in Suffolk which has started
construction. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity
to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will
support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We now have
a fantastic opportunity for several Programme Managers to ensure the
end-to-end delivery of a large scope of systems, structures and
components for the SZC Nuclear Island.
Our teams are set
up to work flexibly. If you’re able to travel to the office to
collaborate with your team and stakeholders when required, you can be
based anywhere in the UK. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to
ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and
effectively.
The Role
- You’ll lead a group of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers, ensuring that project deliverables are completed to time, cost and quality standards.
- This’ll be achieved by putting in place the organisation, processes and measures to monitor performance, and effectively manage the scope of work covered by the Nuclear Island Programme.
- Depending on your scope, you’ll be accountable for delivering a portfolio of about 30 systems for the plant, with a value ranging from £2bn- £3bn.
The Skills
- You’ll be a hands- on leader with proven experience in strategic management at a senior level. Your technical expertise will allow you to understand and communicate complex technical ideas to a range of audiences.
- Detailed knowledge of the end-to-end process of large projects will be key, along with excellent management ability.
- Nuclear industry experience is a must.
- Commercial or engineering experience would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
