The Project Manager, Data Program Management will have a critical role in executing important cross-functional work in the international data program, impacting the direct-to-consumer footprint at NBCUniversal.

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the execution of data projects within business and technical analytics teams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the other Decision Sciences teams, including verticals across Data Science, Data Product, Data Engineering, Marketing Analytics, Content Analytics and many more. You will be responsible for defining, managing, and mitigating risks for any dependency between data initiatives across the International Portfolio. This is a highly-collaborative cross-functional role responsible for strategy, budgeting, vendor/resource management, PMO, and organizational change management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Defines and manages decision sciences projects, working closely with analytics professionals, product managers, delivery technology teams, and business stakeholders 
  • Monitor risks and issues across projects, serving as a point of escalation/remediation for them.
  • Facilitate recurring team and cross-functional meetings, take ownership of milestone deadlines and open items with persistent follow-through
  • Connect the dots across teams and silos to ensure cross functional issues and decisions are flagged to leadership for resolution, manage dependencies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Create and maintain project plans, reports, and dashboards that regularly provide the team and executive sponsors insight into the program portfolio
  • Ability to reach beyond project updates and status to see larger business impacts and likely results. 
  • Articulate the larger theme to surrounding teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to create and consider multiple approaches down to one recommended well thought out (short and long term) strategy including logic/reasoning on the program.
  • Leads cross-functional teams through complex projects, delivering outstanding results.
  • Partner with other PMO and Delivery teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Highlight team wins to senior stakeholders
  • Advocate for team’s work’s prioritization with delivery teams

Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a project management, business operations, or analytics role within a global technology organization
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Minimum 1 year of experience managing large-scale, enterprise projects
  • Proficiency across a variety of Project Management methodologies
  • Proficiency with a variety of Project Scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Experience with analytics tooling (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to tailor to all levels of an organization
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business-related field

Desired Characteristics

  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to break down a complex problem by asking the right questions and recommending a solution
  • Self-starter with meticulous attention to detail; metrics/data-driven
  • Significant knowledge of or interest in IT, data, analytics experience
  • Experience within a technology organization in the media or entertainment industry highly preferred
  • Experience focused in managing complex product roadmaps and development initiatives
  • Experience working with and navigating a matrixed organization composed of technology horizontals and business focused verticals Stakeholder facilitation with business and technical executives
  • Ability to build a compelling story with experience communicating concepts and ideas to technologists and users alike
  • Expertise in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to setup and manage a SharePoint site
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and manage multiple tracks of work
  • Adaptive and ability to learn quickly
  • Driving agile mindset and change management
