The Opportunity


Following the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), Sizewell C (SZC) is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which is due to start construction in 2024. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.


We’re recruiting a number of Project Managers to support this unique project, as we enter critical phases across a number of our delivery programmes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working closely with the Supply Chain, Responsible Designer and Quality teams, you’ll be dedicated to delivering a group of nuclear power plant systems, structures, components, and contracts within one of the delivery programmes. 
  • The scope of your role will depend on your specialism, but will cover one of several areas such as Switchboard, Diesels, Primary & Secondary Circuits, Auxiliaries, Utilities, etc. 
  • You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams on post financial investment contracts, and drive the implementation of site- specific design changes.


Who you are

  • You’ll have a track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment. 
  • Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects, in a regulated environment will be key.
  • You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of managing projects through the project lifecycle from concept to handover.


Additionally, you’ll have good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills as well as excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
